Where will you continually make reflective, pleasurable space to (re)connect with yourself and your commitments?
The dearest relationship is the one that I have, and sustain, with myself. From daily rituals and practices to silence and communal solitude—when I make space to (re)connect with my interior worlds, I’m able to connect more deeply with the world and people around me.
Through the years, I’ve learned how to become my closest companion and creative exploration has been the catalyst for the everyday acts of self-love and intimacy that I experience.
Expanding this self-love and intimacy outside of myself by building connections with communities is also place of nourishment. I’ve had the joy of seeding so many meaningful creative connections and memories—across and against borderlines—that continue to show me what I’m made of and what I care about.

with local plants
Moving with a desire to connect with the earth and natural environment throughout Guadalajara, I participated in a two-day workshop facilitated by Juyania and Biosis who focus on circular production and slow fashion.
During our time in the studio, we learned how to play and be curious with local plants and flowers in ways that can give life to textiles with environmentally responsible processes.

printmaking
Summer of 2023, I left the city of Baltimore for a six-month immersion that included community engagements throughout México in the cities of Guanajuato, Oaxaca de Juárez, Guadalajara, and Querétaro.
One of my commitments was to intentionally return to my long love for printmaking while building relationships with the people who call these places home. In each of the workshops, I learned a variety of printmaking techniques, including monotype, relief, and intaglio.
